On October 18th, Dianne Buckner of the Dragons' Den flew up to Thunder Bay to give the keynote speech at Thunder Bay's annual Small Business Week Luncheon. In attendance were small business owners, representatives from the public and private spheres, and high school students from across the city.

Other speakers included local small business owners;

Laura Morine of ABC Embroidery,

Doug Gorrie of JustParts.com,

Greg Toombs, Kris Scott, and Luke Docksteader of Idaios,

Suzan Cooper Rochon of Perfect Fit Lingerie,

Joe Quaresima of Sencia Canada Ltd,

and Dan Cheal of Tidy Trays.

Held at the Thunder Bay Italian Cultural Centre, the event was hosted by the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre, the Thunder Bay Public Library, the City of Thunder Bay Entrepreneur Centre, Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund, the Thunder Bay CEDC, Confederation College, the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, and Thunder Bay Ventures.

We learned a lot, ate great food, and had an awesome time.

Big thanks to everyone involved.
